Our vision
Enabling disabled people’s ambitions through sport
Every day at the Richard Whitehead Foundation, we hear the barriers disabled people face accessing sport, but also see the impact that the power of sport can have on their lives when barriers are broken down.
We are first and foremost an organisation for the disability community. Sport is the tool we use to improve lives. It is about the individuals and their stories, overcoming their challenges with them and helping them to achieve their goals through sport.
We place the individual at the centre of our work, providing life-changing support, mentoring, information, advice, equipment and opportunities. We are also ensuring that we develop or influence larger scale programmes available to ensure that we leave no one behind.
-
We believe disabled people should have equal access to the life-changing power of sport.
