What is Run with Rich?

Run with Rich is our flagship fundraising event, founded in 2022, designed to unite communities and promote inclusivity through sport. Led by Paralympic Champion Richard Whitehead MBE, the event encourages everyone to ‘take part your way’, whether that is by running, walking, rolling, or cheering from the sidelines. The inclusive route is designed for all abilities, ensuring everyone can participate and feel part of something special.

Each year, participants help us make a lasting impact by raising vital funds to support individuals with disabilities, enabling them to disabled people’s ambitions through sport.

Run with Rich 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Run with Rich 2024 at Holme Pierrepont on Sunday, 2nd June! It was a day filled with fun, inclusion, and community spirit, all in support of the Richard Whitehead Foundation.

From the excitement of the Take Part Your Way 5K to the inclusive Sensory 1 Mile, the day was packed with activities for everyone to enjoy:

  • Events village fun: Participants and spectators enjoyed live performances by Drumba and the Dako Flying Angels, face painting, and more.

  • Special moments with Richard: Attendees had the chance to meet Richard Whitehead MBE, take photos and hear his inspiring words.

  • Community spirit: Whether tackling the course or cheering from the sidelines, the atmosphere was electric with support and enthusiasm.
