Maxim’s gone to the max!

Maxim Lubavskiy arrived in the UK in November 2022, with his wife and son to work with Nissan UK.

Maxim decided he wanted to explore his new home country and as a keen runner realised there would be no better way than running around some of the different cities! He embarked an journey to complete all of the AJ Bell Great Run Series events in 2023 and the London Marathon.

So far he has completed Great Run half-marathons in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle (Great North Run) and Glasgow, and the full 26.2 miles around the streets of London in the prestigious London Marathon.

For Maxim and his family, the events have offered the perfect way to get to know the UK and they have thoroughly enjoyed travelling from city to city and taking in the sights.

On Sunday 15th October, Maxim will line up at the start for one last event this year at the Great South Run (a 10-mile run around the streets of Portsmouth). The run represents the end of his epic efforts and will complete the set for Great Run events in 2023.

Along the way, Maxim has been raising funds for the Richard Whitehead Foundation as part of the Nissan Possibilities Project team, who have completed various Great Run events this year, collectively raising an amazing £3,800 so far!

There is still time to support Maxim’s efforts and give him a final boost ahead of his last run by sponsoring his amazing effort, visit his page to donate.

We will be cheering him on in Portsmouth and wish him the best of luck!
