Foundation Partnering with Mason Mile

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered up with The Mason Mile, for delivery of The Community Mile as part of our Run with Rich event in June 2022.

The vision of the Mason Foundation is to support “communities to become happier, healthier and more active together”. Set up by Stephen Mason in 2017, the Foundation encourages local communities to come together to do #TheirMileTheirWay, regardless of ability or disability.

The 'Run with Rich' event is taking place on the 25 June 2022, at Holme Pierrepont National Water Sport Centre. It is a mass participation, fundraising fun run for everyone: non-disabled and disabled. It includes 1 mile and 5k distance options, where participants can take part their way.

"We are delighted to join forces with The Mason Mile to ensure our 1 mile participants have the volunteer support and encouragement they need to prepare for their 1 mile... and most importantly that they keep active" says Rebecca Gibson, Programme Manager for The Richard Whitehead Foundation.

Anna Skeats, CEO of The Mason Foundation, stated "We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with The Richard Whitehead Foundation, as they embark on their mission to empower disabled young people across the country to reach their full potential and aspirations. Like us, The Richard Whitehead Foundation are dedicated to supporting inclusion, removing barriers to physical activity, ensuring that no-one is left behind. We are incredibly excited about how The Mason Mile and The Richard Whitehead Foundation, together, can support more young people with disabilities to do amazing things through physical activity."
