Run with Rich - Your Way

“Run with Rich – Your Way” is an inclusive, mass participation run event that The Richard Whitehead Foundation is introducing on 25th June 2022, as a means of raising awareness and funds to support their ambitions. Enter now!

Nottinghamshire Paralympic Athlete and Marathon Runner Richard Whitehead MBE, launched his Foundation during the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. The Richard Whitehead Foundation’s ambition is to help people live a life without limits and to enable disabled people to believe and achieve.

The new charity event is aimed at everyone! The event will enable disabled and non-disabled people to come together in a celebration of physical activity. The event will enable people to “run” the event their way and the experience will be their own challenge. Open to all impairment types. Whether it is running a 5k for the first time, running in fancy dress or going the distance in a running frame, wheelchair or on crutches. The event will include a 5k run, and a 1 mile sensory run. The 1 mile is a new opportunity for new runners, families, and people with high support needs. Richard Whitehead, recently from the Channel 4 programme Celebrity Hunted will be running the event to support everyone.

The event is a fundraising event for The Richard Whitehead Foundation, enabling projects across England and Wales to support individual disabled people to break down barriers and achieve their life goals through sport and movement.
