Run to the Future at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Come and join double Paralympic champion Richard Whitehead MBE, and Radio DJ and LGBTQ+ advocate, Adele Roberts, for the inaugural Run to the Future.

Where: London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

When: Sunday 15th September 2024

Distance: 2k or 5k (you can choose your preference when registering to participate)

This non-competitive run along accessible paths is creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for everyone, of any age or ability, wanting to take part in a mass-participation event.

There will be LGBTQ+ advocates celebrating diversity and support staff on hand for anyone with a disability to run, walk or push around the course.

Medal and water are included. Timing chips will be available for anyone wanting an official time.

This event will be filmed for use in a documentary TV series about diversity, equity and inclusion in sport. The series is brand-funded by Nissan. By signing up and participating in the event, you are agreeing to your image being used as part of the documentary content.

Need a Supporter Runner?

In partnership with the Nissan Possibilities Project, the Richard Whitehead Foundation has set up a Supported Runner Project. Our volunteers are experienced runners who have been trained to provide you with the support, access, encouragement and motivation you need to take part in a running event.

If you would like to know more about how the Supported Runner Project could help you participate in the Run to the Future event, follow the link below. You will have the opportunity to ask for a Support Runner to support you during this event in the post checkout form.
